The main ingredient for this pesto is basil that grows in the company's organic garden in Gazzo d'Arroscia, a small village in the Imperia hinterland. Watered with spring water and cultivated with natural fertilizers, the basil is harvested by hand and processed with artisanal methods together with other selected ingredients: Secùndu extra virgin olive oil, mountain Parmigiano Reggiano and Italian pine nuts. The result is a top quality product, which allows even those who do not like garlic to enjoy the unique taste of the classic Genoese pesto. The first courses with pesto require, being a cold and almost totally vegetable sauce, only white wines.
